•In 2000 Spanish was beginning to be taught in the school.
•The corridors were changed and rooms 9, 10 and 24 were added to the school.
•The Millennium peace garden and the children’s garden were created.
•Sharon Carragher produced a Millennium Book which has input from all children in the school at the time.
•The school participated in their first National Children’s Choir.
•The school participates ESB Environmental Award for this garden.
•The school competed in the Feis Ceoil.
•Children entered sixth class for the first time.
•The hall was in use as a classroom and the third extension to the school began.
•We also won our very first green flag. We won it because of our waste management. Reduce Reuse Recycle!
•The third extension on the school was completed.
•The hurling team won the Cumann na mBunscol.
•Some of the 6th class children competed in the National Chess Championship.
•Mrs Bradley came to the school.
•We sang at the turning on of the Christmas lights in Greystones.
•5th & 6th class take part in the National Children's Choir. This entails learning a repertoire of 20 songs, and performing them with an orchestra and a conductor. It's a fantastic experience.
•We earned our 2nd Green Flag for work on Energy & the Environment.
•The garden at the back of the school wins the ESB Environmental Award 2004.
•The seanachaí Niall de Búrca comes to the school and enthrals all ages with his wonderful stories.
•DJ Carey comes to visit the school.
•Text a parent: The text a parent was up and running at the start of November. Through this notices are sent out to the parents.
•The hurling team won division 3.
•The football team came runners up in the Coghlan Cup, beaten by St. Cronan's, Bray.
•The 3rd National Childrens Choir that the school took place. 5th & 6th class took part.
•Minister for the Environment Dick Roche and Éanna Ní Lamhna visit the school to present our third Green Flag for work on Water and the Environment.
•We got 18 new computers for the computer room and put computers into all classrooms.
•The Scholastic Book Fair is still being run after 10 years. 60% of the money spent here is given to the school to buy resources for the class libraries.
•The school took part in the Discover Primary Science project. Every class did a lot of experiments. There was also a big science open day which was a great success. The school won an award for it’s great participation.
•HAPPY BIRTHDAY ST LAURENCE’S !! 30 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR !!
•We started the Park and Stride where we meet in Tesco Car Park and walk to school from there. This is to help reduce traffic congestion around the school, to help the environment and to improve the health and fitness of the pupils.
•We won the Murphy Cup in 2007. We got to the tennis final and to the soccer semi final.
•The school earned the Discover Primary Science award.
•We were awarded our 4th Green Flag for our work on the theme of Transport.
•We had another very successful year in sport. Our hurlers won the Wicklow Mini-
•We won the Leinster Schools League & Cup in soccer, and we did very well in tennis and athletics.
•We celebrated Europe Day in May, by having a fun day complete with European Parade, two obstacle courses, football skills and a magician.
•We were awarded a European Language Label for teaching Spanish throughout the school, with the help of Xaris, our Spanish Assistant.
•We put Interactive Whiteboards in all classrooms from 2nd -
•Pupils from Mrs. Dawson's 6th class participate in the B.T. Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS. Their project was on Home Insulation. They received an award.
